summary of this case study
This case study delves deep into how we built an ERP for Seattle Aviation Solutions and how we revolutionised their operations. Their goal was to streamline and improve the processes for managing and creating quotes. We met and exceeded their expectations with a fully functional ERP.
the
client
Headquartered in the U.S, Seattle Aviation Solutions (SAS) is a thriving aircraft parts distribution company. Since its inception in 2017, SAS has been catering to airlines, private jet operators, military, and charter operators globally. With strategically positioned distribution hubs, SAS only procures top-of-the-line aircraft parts and offers superlative services.
Challenge
SAS approached us to build custom ERP software and refine it to be at par with the user’s ease of use. The new ERP was supposed to accommodate different modules. The major hassles the client faced included the costs incurred every month on third-party software.
Project
scope
The SAS team regarded our experts as a good fit for developing their ERP, as we put commendable teamwork into developing a concept and a custom solution. The team required software exclusively for them to smoothly manage RFQs (requests for quotations) and create quotes for aircraft parts purchases. They previously used quoting software as a means to manage RFQs and related stuff, but eventually the team decided to go for a fully customised, in-house ERP.
Solution
Our expert development team translated the requirements of the SAS team to craft an ERP from scratch. We went the extra mile to incorporate different functionalities into the software. Some of the software attributes are:
  • Marketplace: An efficient QMS was built to provide quotes to customer requests from the marketplace. It is linked to the ERP, and the information from the marketplace is captured by the system. A quote is sent via email in pdf format.
  • Permissions: Moreover, the QMS is fully permission-based. Every section of the QMS, for instance, the open quote, has permission. And a user has the liberty to write and read, provided they have the permission to do so.
  • Accounts: Another major module includes accounts, which comprise the customers’ details.
  • Support Centre: Errors that occur in the application can be reported here by the user.
  • Auto-quote: This is one of the most peculiar features of SAS QMS. The customer requests from the marketplace are assigned to the user, and a mail containing all details, including the quote, is sent automatically.
  • Purchase RFQ: A purchase RFQ is created while the mail is sent to the customer.

OTHER RELATED PLATFORMS WE ACCOMPLISHED
Let us provide you with a short account of our creative outcome. The core requirement was to create a stall design embodying the essence of Seattle Aviation Solutions. We translated the needs of the company to craft a superlative stall design for the NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Las Vegas, one of the biggest aviation events held from October 17 to 19, 2023. The SAS team was delighted with the overall outcome.
Conclusion
Overall, our expert development team has automated quote sending, cut costs, and included custom features unique to SAS, exactly what the client required. We are now engaged in a few updates that’ll be live in the current ERP soon.
Client’s
Feedback
We would like to express our gratitude to the team at GL Infotech! They showed deep industry knowledge and delivered exactly what we wanted. We’ve invested in many other pieces of software, yet this ERP has proven to be the most flexible, cost-effective, and easy-to-use among the rest.
